As a teenager, Evergreen Park offered the only shopping mall that was close. The Plaza shopping mall had been around for years; in fact, when I was very young it was an outdoor mall. Another famous, older establishment of Evergreen Park is Little Company of Mary Hospital. Evergreen Park is located about 14 miles from The Loop and 5 miles from Midway Airport.
