Cook County Illinois Real Estate

Cook County and Illinois charge transfer tax stamps for real estate sold. Illinois charges a fee that the seller customarily pays of $.50/500.00. Cook County charges a transfer tax, which is paid by the seller, of $.25/$500.00. I have listed transfer tax stamps in the following towns as required based on the transfer tax list put together by the Chicago Title Insurance Company dated August 2, 2002.
